Disney World!
Jack Nathan was born on April 2nd 2000.  By his 2nd birthday he had been diagnosed with Autism.   He has since also been diagnosed with Apraxia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Sensory Integration Disorder and Auditory Processing Disorder.  Jack both attends Kindergarten and is being homeschooled through private therapies. He also receives private Speech Therapy to supplement the speech therapy he receives in school .

Autism is generally treated with Behaviorial Therapy based on the studies of Dr. Ivar Lovaas.  These therapies, which are recommened to exceed 30 hours a week are NOT covered by any insurance plan, nor are they regulated.

Since Jack was diagnosed in 2002, the Bio-Medical Science communities have radically advanced their knowledge in the area of Autism.  Jack is being treated with aggressive bio-medical treatments along with upwards of 40 hours of therapy a week.

Jack is not "The Rainman".  Jack is not a sterotype at all.  Autism is a spectrum disorder, meaning that people with autism are all incredibly unique and none exhibit the same characteristics as another.  Jack is warm, he's cuddly.  He loves to be tickled and to wrestle with his Dad.  He loves music and he loves dancing.  He loves his cookies, pancakes and McDonalds Chicken Strips and fries.  He loves to listen to music as he plays on his platform swing in the basement.  He loves to go swimming and loves to go to his Gym class where he can run, climb and swing.  Jack has favorite rides at Disney World.  Jack has a sense of humor.  Jack is a gift from God and a joy!

This web-site is Jack's story.

Jack has a fabulous brother Noah who is 2 years older than him, and a sister Sophie who is 2 years younger.  They are both Neuro-Typical and adore Jack.
